Wormhole is the standout because it encrypts everything end to end and, for files under 5 GB, keeps them on its servers only briefly. Send Anywhere uses a six-digit key for quick device-to-device sends. Filemail, TransferNow, SendGB, and pCloud Transfer all sit at 5 GB, a solid step up from WeTransfer with no account needed.
Best for privacy
WeTransfer protects files in transit and on its servers, but staff and systems can still access them. For anything sensitive, pick end-to-end encryption, where files are locked on your device and only the recipient holds the key. Wormhole, Tresorit Send, and Proton Drive all do this.
